Access to E-Mail from any computer, phone, or tablet, even off-site.
Open Records Policy – Anything that is received or sent in LISD email is public record and can be requested. Doesn’t matter what device is used or where you use it.
Email Archive. Messages moved to Archive after 60 days. Archived Emails stored for 3 years. (As of July 2021 messages may remain in the Inbox for now)
- Can be accessed from the “Archived Mail” folder in your Gmail folder list.
Phishing – Don’t click on links claiming to be from ITS asking you to verify or set up anything related to email or your network account.
- Leander ITS will NEVER ask you to verify or give us your password!
- Use the “Phish Alert” button to report suspicious emails to Tech.
  - Will appear as an orange fish-hook, but you must be signed into Google and have synching turned on.

Phish alert

Here is an example of a phishing email in Gmail. Note that in the subject line, there is a flag showing this message came from an outside (external) sender.

To report this email as phishing, click on the orange fish hook icon above the message subject line. If it was an LISD test email, you’ll receive a congratulations popup.
