In order for you as a student to be successful in this classroom, it is very important to follow the three rules and the procedures below.
All students will enter the classroom in an orderly fashion. This means that there is no “messing” around, horse play, loud voices, etc. The front projector that will state the directions for what you will need to have done by the time the bell rings or within 3-5 minutes after the bell. Once you have completed the task we will begin the lesson.
All backpacks, purses, etc. will be neatly placed under your work station and left there for the class period.
Any supplies that you will need in class must be taken to your desk before class begins.
All cell phones MUST be in your backpack unless the bell ringer on the board says that we will be using them in class that day. This is school policy and I will take up your phone (and your trust card) if it is supposed to be in your backpack that day and you or your parents will have to retrieve it from the front office for a fee of $15.
I will be responsible for dismissing you at the end of the period, not the bell. You will be responsible for making sure that your area is clean, you have logged off the computer, the keyboard is placed under the monitor, and all items checked out or borrowed are returned. I will let you know 5 minutes before the bell rings so that you will have time to complete all these tasks. No one will be permitted to leave the room until I have released you. I will dismiss rows who have cleaned up/logged off in a timely manner, first.
If you know you will be absent from class for any school event, please see me in advance to get your class assignments. If you are absent because of an illness, please contact me as soon as possible to get your class assignments. The time allowed for makeup work will be as follows: add # of days missed to due date and that will give you your new due date.
Be in the classroom when the tardy bell rings. It is your responsibility to use good judgment and not be late to class. If you are tardy, the offense will be handled according to the school handbook.
All assignments/projects are due on the day I have assigned. It is your responsibility to turn in all assignments on time. Each class period that an assignment is late you will loose 10 points per after the due date. If an assignment reaches 3 class periods past its due date a 70 will be the highest possible score, due to Red/Black Schedule. All missing assignments due prior to the Monday of the last week of the six week grading period will become final as a score of a 0 in Skyward, you will have the opportunity to correct or bring up until that point.
There will be NO talking when I am talking or when one of your fellow students is presenting. This is to show good character and respect for others. If you have a question, I and your peers will in return show respect to you. Students must remain in their seats at all times unless they have permission.
Be aware of the Dress Code. Students out of dress code will be sent to the office. The Dress Code can be found in the Student Handbook.
There will be no restroom passes given in my class. Go before the start of class.
