The year 2016 is approaching and there is a great need for prayers and supplications to start this New Year. We all know our communities are under attack both physically and spiritually. The Mission Department and church family at Lonoke Missionary Baptist Church of Hope, Arkansas invite all to join us for a much needed PRAYER VIGIL STARTING AT 6:00 PM ON JANUARY 1, 2O16 AND ENDING AT 6:00 AM ON JANUARY 2, 2016. THERE WILL BE EXTENDED TIME FOR THOSE WHO ARE SO LEAD BY THE HOLY SPIRIT TO CONTINUE ON BEYOND 6:00 AM.Our prayer petitions will cover our men, women, children, families, churches, communities, and government officials (local and nationwide).
This time will be for conversation with the Lord and may mean you are on your face, your knees, standing, or in a group. Please allow the Holy Spirit to have HIS WAY and not be hindered by anyone or anything. We don’t want to quench His guidance and really want our request to be heard and answered according to the Lord’s Will. There will be a follow-up later in 2016 for testimonies, Praise, Thanksgiving, and Worship of the Lord for moving on our behalf. We know He loves us (John 3:16) and wants us to pray Acts 12:1-11; Solomon’s prayer (I Kings 8:22-54 and II Chronicles 6:12-42 ending at 7:1; God’s answer II Chronicles 7:12-22). We are to “pray without ceasing” and remember the Lord Jesus Christ prayed for us throughout the Gospels and “men should always pray”.
God Bless until we meet,
Lonoke Missionary Baptist Church/Mission Ladies
P. S. The popular movie "War Room" will be shown at 9:00 pm. I highly recommend this movie to all. It is a great exhortation tool, and an effective witness tool! Don't miss this opportunity!!! Alvin Hunter, Pastor
