LDSSAA VOLLEYBALL RULES AND REGULATIONS
Match Rules:
· All games are scheduled to start warm up at 3:15pm at the host site in a side by side court arrangement. Warm up will start at 3:15 at the latest and a team arriving after will have what ever time is left for warmup.
· Teams will default a set if they are not ready to play at 3:30 pm and another set every 15 minutes after 3:30. (coaches are expected to contact each other in advance)
· Host sites are responsible to provide all officials. Score table must use an official score sheet
· Teams are responsible for their own line up cards for each match (host schools should not be expected to supply line up cards)
· All matches are best 3 out of 5
· Games 1-4 are to 25 - NO CAP in score.
· The 5th and deciding game is to 15 and win by two - NO CAP in score.
· A Libero is permitted in matches
· Each team needs a designated floor captain on the floor at all times.

· LDSSAA follows BCSS and the CVA rules and regulations. Player may overhand pass on a serve. There are double contacts on the first ball over the net.
Conduct Expectations:
· All players and coaches are reminded to treat each student and adult official with respect.
· Coaches and players are also reminded to direct any questions for the Up official through the floor captain. Unwillingness to do so will result in a warning, then a yellow card which includes a 1 point penalty to be added to the opposition's score, and finally a red card which is an additional point added to the opposition and the player/coach will be asked to leave the gym.
· Failure to comply with this will result in the suspension of play and a 3-0 victory being awarded to the opposition.
League Standings:
· Teams will be awarded 2 points for each match won
· CVA Tie- breaking Procedures at the end of the season are as follows:
If two or more teams are tied at the end of the preliminary round, the following criteria will be applied, in order:
1) The team having the best ratio of won/lost matches, considering matches between the tied teams, will be ranked higher;
2) The team having the best ratio of won/lost games, considering matches played between the tied teams, will be ranked higher;
3) The team having the best ratio of won/lost games, considering all matches of the round, will be ranked higher;
4) The team having the best ratio of points for/against, considering games played between the tied teams, will be ranked higher;
5) The team having the best ratio of points for/against, considering all games played during the round, will be ranked higher;
6) Toss of coin
