These concerts are required for all 8th grade orchestra students.
Concert participation is expected of all orchestra members. (See More About Concert Attendance Requirements for more information.) If your family has a prior commitment on one of these nights, please send your Orchestra Teacher a note by September 8, 2023.
Lakewood will be hosting the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) Solo and Ensemble Adjudicated Event at Lakewood High School on Saturday, March 23rd, 2024. 7th and 8th grade students will be given the opportunity to perform for a qualified judge who will give them a rating and constructive feedback on their playing. Please put this date on your calendar. More information to follow..
Concerts are at Lakewood High School's Civic Auditorium and begin at 7:00 pm. Student performers will be expected to report at 6:30 pm. Additional details to follow closer to the event.
Students will attend a rehearsal on stage at Lakewood High School during school hours on concert days.
Concert Admission: There is a ticket price of $2.00 per adult, $1.00 for students, senior citizens and children under 5 years of age are free. Ticket prices support the our music fund and pay for concert music, equipment and accompanists.
