Self assessment quiz: There is going to be a small ungraded self assessment quiz at the end of class. The purpose is to figure out if this class is for you. Comp541 is a graduate level course with high level math and substantial and challenging programming assignments. "A" grade level understanding of probability and statistics (Engr200), linear algebra (Math107), multivariable calculus (Math203), and advanced programming skills (comp302) are the minimum prerequisites for this course. If you have any doubts please consider auditing the course or waiting for the undergraduate machine learning course that will be offered next semester.
