Outline Biography

Galawezh is lecturer in the Department of Geotechnic, Faculty of Engineering, where she joined the work at Koya University since 2004. Before that she was team leader in water well site selection in the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Erbil.

She gained a B.Sc. degree in Geology from Salahaddin University in 1988, M.Sc. degree in Hydrology from Koya University in 2008, and now she is PhD. student in Water Resources in the New Mexio State University in U.S.A. She started her academic teaching in 2008 , as an Assistant Lecturer in the department of Geotechnical engineering. She is heading the Geotechnical Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering In 2011 , In 2012 she became PhD student in Baghdad University, she got scholer ship from New Mexico State University U.S.A. for one year in 2014. She gained PhD degree in water resources from Baghdad University in 8/11/2016. Now she is Assistant Dean in the Faculty of Engineering.

Research Interests

Galawezh's research interest includes the following fields;

1- Surface hydrological Study.

2- Water well Evaluating.

3- Ground water investigation (Hydrology).
