Collaborative Art Projects 2015
These Collaborative Art Projects were created by each of the grade levels at Magee Elementary. These items will be available for purchase during the Silent Auction at The Magee Spree! Thumbprints from the Kindergarten students create the bodies of ladybugs, bumblebees, butterflies and flowers on these beautiful porcelain vases. The cylinder vase includes the thumbprints of Mrs. Hansen's class. Mrs. Gross' class created the rectangular piece. These items will be auctioned individually.
1st Grade: Whimsical Owl
Made primarily of paper mache, this whimsical owl represents wisdom and curiosity. The 1st graders added their individual artistic touches to create feathers of color, and variety. This piece stands more than 13 inches tall!
2nd Grade: Artistic Window
This old window is re-purposed into a functional chalk board on the top, and a cork board on the bottom. But its true beauty is around the outside border where oversized buttons are painted by each of the kids in the 2nd grade class. This unique piece will look amazing in the winning bidder's house!
3rd Grade: "Circular Designs"Unique circular designs come together to create a collage of artistry. Being the largest class at Magee, the 3rd grade collaborative art project is spread over two individual canvases. These are large pieces of artwork, and each piece will be auctioned separately.
4th-5th Grades: "Come Home for LOVE"
This masterpiece attracts attention not only because of its bold colors, but because of its powerful message. Individual and unique houses are all placed together to create a strong and everlasting community.
This piece sits on legs so it can be displayed as a table or perhaps a bench.
