Since third grade is a huge jump from second grade in regards to assessment, here are a few tips or ways your child could review or study at home. We’ve discussed in class that this is the time to start building study habits because they will continue to need this skill.
Practice their social studies/science vocabulary flash cards (when available)
Complete IXL topics online through Clever
Give practice spelling tests at home
Practice labeling a map with important geographic features
Use a deck of cards to make numbers and practice reading those numbers, or writing them in word/expanded form
Practice spelling words in shaving cream or spelling them with magnetic fridge letters (using things around the house)
