1. Igualdad (Equality) (comparing two things equally)

Sujeto + Verbo + tan + adj/adv + como + sustantivo (noun)

Yo + soy + tan + simpática + como + mis padres.

(I + am + as + nice + as + my parents.)

Sujeto + Verbo + tanto (a) + noun + como + sustantivo (noun)

2. Desigualdad (Inequality) (when comparing two things that are not equal)

Sujeto + Verbo + más + adj/adv/sustantivo + que + sustantivo

Sujeto + Verbo + menos + adj/adv/sustantivo + que + sustantivo

Yo + soy + más + grande + que + tu hermano.

(I + am + more + bigger + than + your friend)

Ella + es + menos + amable + que + su amigo

(She + is + less + kinder + than + her friend)

3. Superlativa (Superlative) (comparing one thing with a group, something bigger)

Sujeto + Verbo + artículo definido + sustantivo + más + adj + de la + sustantivo

¿Cuáles son las palabras irregulares que se usan en las comparaciones?

mejor ---- better, best mayor --- older, oldest

peor --- worse, worst menor --- younger, youngest

Sujeto + Verbo + artículo definido + mayor/peor/menor/mejor + sustantivo + del/de la + sustantivo

Nosotros + somos + los + mejores + jugadores + de + la escuela.

(We + are + the + best + players + of + my school)

Sujeto + Verbo+ mayor/menor/peor/mejor + que + sustantivo

Tú + eres + mejor + que + los otros cantantes.
