About Me

I'm Mrs. Lane. This is my 33rd year of teaching at Kerens for a total of 34 years.  For the 2025-2026 school year, I am teaching Read 180.  I am excited to see the students learn and make progress.  

After graduating from Kerens HS in 1988, I attended Navarro College and Tarleton State University.  I earned my degree in elementary education with specializations in math and reading.  I went back to graduate school at UT Tyler.  There, I earned my Master's Degree in Reading.  I am a certified reading specialist.  

I am married and have a daughter that is currently working on her master's degree.  She attends Texas A&M at Kingsville and works on a ranch.  We have two fur babies.  Beretta is an loving Australian shepherd that guards our house.  Shotgun is a catahoula mix and loves attention.
