Genius Team 2016

Exciting changes were in store for the Genius Bar in 2016. During our first year of operation, the Genius Bar was just set up in a hallway. During 2016 we were given a real space to house our Genius Bar, so we got to design and build the Genius Bar from scratch. Here are some pictures from our design journey.

The walls are finally up and the new door is framed in. Next step... Paint!

Today was an exciting day. The painters arrived and started painting.

After two days of painting, the paint is finally done and it looks fabulous!! Next we are awaiting the installation of the new carpet.

It's moving day!

The Genius Bar opened for business on Monday, May 16th for our district-wide laptop refresh. Our student workers worked each night from May 16th until the last day of school from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. checking out new laptops to our teachers. Once school got out, we were able to open the Genius Bar during the day from 8:30 a.m to 4:00 p.m. The students will continue to work all summer until the first week in August distributing new laptops. In addition to our laptop refresh, our student Geniuses also work one-on-one with each new hire throughout the summer. For more information, click the button below.
