Principal's Welcome
Welcome to Kaingaroa School.
At our school, we understand that relationships are the most deciding factor in a child’s educational engagement and wellbeing. We have dedicated teachers, committed to building strong relationships with each child in their class, which are only made stronger by the relationships we have with our parents and whānau.
We are fortunate that our school is located in the Far North and recognise the significance this has for our children and their learning. Our curriculum and teaching practices reflect the unique cultural and environmental knowledge of this area. Through local histories, we strive to equip our students with the skills they need for the 21st century, while building on each learner’s strengths and interests. We know that deep learning only happens when it is relevant and happens across different contexts. Our teachers work hard to achieve this while monitoring, supporting, and appropriately challenging each child in their class.
Our tamariki are our future and their time at school is invaluable. Please contact us if you would like to come and visit, or have any questions you need answered.
Ngā mihi and warm regards,
Sally Potter
