'Science is the pursuit of knowledge through evidence and induction, and the systematic process of discovery, application & communication of that knowledge. It should include as its methodology, at every level, the process of experimentation, observation, induction, repetition, critical analysis and verification.'
Science can answer the big questions. Find out how.
5 things you can do in Science this Easter.
Be creative
Find your "eureka" moment that allows you to see further, to make that incredible breakthrough, to open up whole new worlds that have never been seen before. Will you be the person to discover a cure for cancer? Will you find a way to power the world for free? Will you design a way to live on Mars?
Be resilient
Do you believe in your ideas when others don't? Can you carry on working towards your goals even when you suffer setbacks? All great scientists have struggled at some point to convince people of their ideas and some never even get recognised for their discoveries, but all have contributed to our lives through their resilience!
Be excellent
Think about the big questions and try to solve the hardest problems. Always make sure your experiments are accurate and precise. Read about the important developments happening in Science every day. Set yourself aspirational targets because unless you give it a go you won't know what you're capable of achieving.
The Science Department policy is that we will provide every student at KAA with a consistently outstanding education in science. We will give every student the opportunity to develop as a scientist to such a level as to have the genuine option to study the sciences at University or follow a career in science.
Science at KAA will…
