Library Science I & II

Library Science I is a hands-on course for students who are interested in learning more about the library media center and the variety of research tools available. Students will process new books, repair books, operate the on-line and circulation computers, help students find information in the media centers and the Internet, and do many tasks involved in keeping a library running smoothly. Some skills in teaching others as well as basic job skills are also included. One credit is received for completion of the school year.

Library Science II is the second year course and has the same criteria as the library science course with the addition of more audio-visual work, more expectations for projects and abilities, and being more familiar with research tools in order to better assist the library patrons.
