What is Knowledge Bowl?
KB is a game show type competition where students work together as teams in one written and 4 oral rounds; you are not alone you have 4 teammates working with you!
DHS competes in the Northern division against local schools (Upton, Wy; Spearfish; Belle Fourche; Newell; Saint Thomas More; Lead-Deadwood; Sturgis and Douglas). The top 4 teams from the northern and southern divisions proceed to finals. Also the highest scoring 5th place team in either division goes on. Nine teams total from the north and south qualify for finals.
Do you have to be "smart" to join Knowledge Bowl?
Each student has his or her own unique gifts of knowledge; everyone can not know everything! That is why KB is a group effort, each person brings their own knowledge to the group.
