Awards and Redo Policy.
Awards and Celebrations
On 6-3 we love to celebrate our successes! We have a quarterly team celebration called Lynx Lair. At Lynx Lair we recognize students on our team for a variety of accomplishments.
Our awards include:
Student of the Month- Two students per month are recognized by all their teachers and by the administration for their leadership, citizenship, and work ethic.
Lynx Leader- Students that really stand out in their effort and classroom habits or have shown great improvements could earn this award. This is a quarterly award.
Cracker Jack Award- This is an award that celebrates the individual gifts that each student brings to our team. Each student will be recognized during one of our quarterly celebrations.
Along with the awards, we talk about upcoming events as a team and celebrate birthdays together during our Lynx Lair. This is a time to build each other up and to celebrate our growth as a team!
Redo Policy
Sometimes things do not go the way that we planned. As teachers, we understand the need for an occasional redo. A good example of this would be that if a student has tried their hardest to understand a concept but needs additional time to gain mastery. In this scenario, the student has done the practice work, listened in class, and asked questions when clarification was needed. However, he/she did not understand and earned a low score. If that student requests a redo, the student and teacher can work together to come up with a solution.
General Redo Rules for 6-3:
- All redone work is at the teacher's discretion.
- The redo must be requested by the student.
- The student must schedule a time to complete this outside of class time with the teacher.
- The student must communicate a plan of how they will improve their learning to the teacher at the time of the request.
-There will not be retakes allowed the last week of each quarter.
