SERVICE HOURS

At Cedar Park High School, NHS students need to perform 8 hours of community service per semester.

A minimum of 3 of those hours must be “LISD” hours. That means service within the Leander ISD Community. That can include tutoring fellow students, helping out at elementary and middle school festivals, setting up for or serving at CPHS events, or other events where you are helping Leander ISD schools.

A minimum of 3 of those must be “Humanitarian” hours. The purpose of humanitarian service is to get outside the bubble of Cedar Park and make the world a better place. If you participate in an opportunity that's not listed, make sure you get it cleared with an NHS sponsor first.

These Humanitarian hours must be from one of these approved website lists or be approved (in writing) by one of the sponsors (Mr. Cieri or Mrs. Aguilar).

The additional 2 hours may be LISD, Humanitarian or other.
