Membership into the Cedar Park High School chapter of the National Honor Society lays the groundwork for lifelong success.
Requirements for Membership
"How do I get into NHS?"
Juniors and seniors who have attended CPHS for at least one semester and meet the requirements (below) of Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character are eligible to apply to NHS.
Invitations to apply will be sent in early September to students who meet those qualifications. Applications are typically due in October. Admission will be determined via selection committee shortly thereafter.
Scholarship
Students must have a weighted GPA of 4.50 or higher.
Service
This involves voluntary contributions made by a student to the school or community, done without compensation.
Leadership
Student leaders are those who are resourceful, good problem solvers, and idea contributors. Leadership experiences can be drawn from school or community activities while working with or for others.
Character
The student of good character is cooperative; demonstrates high standards of honesty and reliability; shows courtesy, concern, and respect for others; and maintains no disciplinary infractions.

National Honor Society Meeting Dates
Unless otherwise stated, all meetings will be in the Lecture Hall and Monday meetings begin at 4:10 and Tuesday meetings begin at 8:10.

October - 10/25 + 10/26 (both in Library)
November - 11/15 (in PAC) + 11/16 (in Lecture Hall)
December - 12/13 + 12/14
January - 1/24 + 1/25
February - 2/28 + 3/1

April - 4/25 + 4/26
May - 5/16 + 5/17
