Course Description: This course will be an informative course on personal health and fitness, giving the student facts to live a long, healthy life and achieve total fitness. The course will be preventive in nature. Areas of study include: building a healthy foundation; physical activity and nutrition;
mental and emotional health; personal care and body systems; promoting safe and healthy relationships; growth and development; tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs; diseases and disorders; injury prevention; environment health; and sex education
