I was born and raised in Visalia, CA. I graduated from the local junior college there with an A.A. in Liberal Arts. Pacific Telephone hired me in 1979. For the next 18 years I held many positions and lived in many different areas of California. I graduated from the University San Francisco with a B.S.in Information Systems Management in 1992. In the early 90’s my involvement with the Junior Achievement Organization (JA) provided me my first opportunity to work in public schools. My Junior Achievement experience inspired my passion for teaching. So, when an early retirement was offered I jumped at the opportunity to go back to school and get my teaching credential. I received my Teaching Credential from Chapman University in 2000. In 2006 I graduated from Walden University with a Master's Degree in Education with an Emphasis on Integrating Technology into the Curriculum..
I first came to Jamestown Elementary School in 1999 as a student teacher. I was hired as the Technology Coordinator for Jamestown Elementary in August 2000. My classroom teaching experience has included: Kindergarten, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th grades. Since becoming a teacher at Jamestown I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to learn from a wonderful community of students, teachers and parents.
