Here are some resources that may be useful, in each of my interest areas.
I take no referral fees or other inducement for any recommendation.
Architect Description in Wikipedia - A pretty good summary of what architects do, with many links.
Architect finder - The American Institute of Architects used to have a national, searchable database, but now you'll have to rely on Google for a more local one.
Rocky Mountain Institute - One of the clearest, most positive organizations addressing energy use in buildings as well as throughout the economy.
How Buildings Work - Several of my short, non-technical articles explain how buildings work.
Principles for Choosing and Using Technology
The principles I use when considering advice on technology to an organization
Techsoup - Dedicated to serving the nonprofit world with lower cost software, hardware, consultants. They have a blog, webinars etc. Note that you pay a fee before getting the bargains - almost always worth it.
