Welcome from Stott's Instructional Coach!
As Stott's Instructional Coach, I support teachers in four main ways:
As a curriculum and instruction specialist, I help teachers make sense of the curriculum and support with planning for instruction.
As a data coach, I work with teachers to learn, administer, and analyze results from district and state assessments, as well as make plans to monitor student progress and create classroom assessments to evaluate student learning.
As a mentor, I work with teachers who are new to teaching, new to Jeffco, and/or new to Stott.
As a change agent, I help support the whole school with state and district initiatives.
In addition, I act as an internal coach for our Reading Corps tutors, who provide specific, scripted 1:1 reading interventions to students, and have the role of the school's READ Act coordinator.
Our focus this year is implementation of the Into Reading Curriculum.
