Fuzz Bugs - Graph the fuzz bugs and answer questions about your graph!
Comparing Numbers:
Raceway Number Values - Compare 5 numbers correctly in a row to race on a track!
Fruit Splat Compare Numbers - Click on the fruit that has the symbol that matches your numbers.
Math Facts (Addition and Subtraction):
Math Fact Practice (+, -, x) - The end of the game will show a report of the average time spent per problem by math operation and level. Students can even print off the final report to show me at school!
Math Skills Practice - This site allows students to practice a wide variety of math skills. They can even print out the final page to show to me or their parents.
Thinking Blocks - Model and solve addition and subtraction word problems, going through all the steps one by one.
Math Lines - The objective is to find a matching ball that adds up to 10. For example if a 2 is showing, the student would click on an 8. The catch is that the game has to be finished before the balls reach the end of the maze!
Math Madness - Choose the missing/unknown number in this arcade style basketball game.
Ace of Numbers - A missing addend game in which you race against the clock to solve 20 equations and achieve a high score.
Addition & Subtraction Games - This links to a huge variety of addition and subtraction games! You can change the difficulty level by clicking on the age ranges at the top of the page.
Lucky Drops - Help Lucky the Leprechaun get his coins back from the crazy cow in this subtraction game.
Fruit Splat Subtraction - Multiple levels of subtraction difficulty are tricky in this arcade style game.
Fractions:
Fractions Matching Game - This activity has students practice matching a picture representation of a fraction to the correct number fraction.
Fractions Shoot Game - This game allows for kids to practice a variety of fraction games involving halves, thirds, and fourths.
Measurement:
Measurement Game - This activity allows 1st grade students to compare multiple objects based on their length or height.
Measure It - Measure length using a ruler in either inches or centimeters.
Length Strength - Centimeters - Measure a variety of objects in centimeters, using a ruler to help.
Length Strength - Inches - Measure a variety of objects in inches, using a ruler to help.
Inchy Picnic - Help Inchy find his way to the picnic by choosing the best path in the required amount of inches.
Splash Learn - Measurement Game for Grade 1 - This activity allows students to compare 3 objects based on their length.
Ordering / Sequencing Numbers:
Caterpillar Ordering - Kids can practice sequencing numbers 1-100 by ones, twos, fives, and tens by putting together the body parts of a caterpillar.
Numerical Order - Put the numbers in the right order in outer space!
Math Menu for Ordering and Comparing Numbers - Click on a game of your choice from this math menu to practice putting numbers in the right order or comparing numbers by popping balloons.
Place Value:
Shark Numbers - Help the boat stay afloat by matching the ten sticks and ones to the correct number.
Fruit Splat Place Value - Click on the fruit to match the base ten blocks.
A Lucky Place - Identifies place value, up to thousands
Math Man - Just like Pac Man, this game has you eat the "ghosts" with the correct number that matches the expanded form given. This goes up through the hundreds place value.
Place Value Hockey - A fun game of identifying the place value of numbers. 5 correct in a row allows you to take 5 penalty shots!
Shapes / Geometry:
PBS Shapes Games - Shapes games for students from the PBS website based on familiar story-book characters.
Shape Inlay - This tetris-like game has students manipulate 2D shapes to fill in the patterns.
Tangrams - This game teaches students how to compose shapes to make a bigger new shape!
Telling Time:
Telling Time Games - These games allow students to practice telling time with analog clocks.
Miscellaneous:
Pattern Memory - This is a memory-type game that stretches students' thinking to focus on the patterns displayed and then recreate them. This is a favorite of our class!
Reading Links
Scholastic News - This is the Scholastic News website, which aligns with the classroom nonfiction magazines worked on in class each week. There is a digital issue, vocabulary words, a video, and a skill game for each issue. Our first grade password to access the activities is: lucky1
RAZ Kids - This site is created for students to read books at their individual levels. Students may listen to the book being read, read it by themselves, and take a quick comprehension quiz on the book. Students earn stars and other incentives as they become better readers by reading more and more! (Please email your teacher if you need the password for your student.)
Tumblebooks - This website allows students to listen to high-interest books and track along with the narration. Following up reading a book with a thinking map is a great idea!

Phonics Game - This is a game where kids practice choosing the letter that makes the correct initial sound in a word.
Balloon Pop - This game helps students match the correct initial sound with the matching balloon.
Clifford's Sound Match - This matching games helps kids to match the pictures together that have the same beginning sound.
Fishing with Phonics - This fishing game has kids practice choosing the correct beginning or ending sound for a given word.
Monster Mansion Match - This is a memory game where students match the sound to the corresponding picture.
Sandcastle Quiz - This game provides practice identifying the correct spelling pattern for a variety of words with alternative spelling patterns.
Sight Word Smash - This game says a sight word out loud and kids click the word on the blocks that matches the word said out loud.
Out of Sight Words - This game has kids match words to the pictures hidden in another picture.
Submarine Spelling Patterns - This game has kids spell the word that was said out loud to help the pelican in his submarine.
Spelling Spree - This game has kids listen to a word and then break open the pinata that has the matching word on it.

Calendar Clowns - This is a fun way to practice navigating a calendar and use calendar vocabulary to solve math problems.
Calendar Game - This is a fun game to practice scheduling on a calendar while solving word problems.
Magic Calendar - After answering a few questions about the calendar, you get to go back in time and experience an adventure at the time of the dinosaurs.
Kids Info Bits - Jeffco Public Library Link - This site allows kids to research a variety of content areas and subjects using a safe and kid-friendly search engine.
Jobs & Places Space Game -This interactive game helps students review different types of jobs.
Lemonade Stand - Students can manage their own lemonade stand and practice basic economics to try and make a profit.
National Geographic for Kids - This site allows kids to research a variety of animals using kid-friendly resources.
Scholastic Go! - This website is a great resource for research! It even reads the articles aloud!
States of Matter Sorting Game - Students can practice sorting different objects in the correct states of matter columns (solids, liquids, or gases)
Properties of Matter - This website allows students to experiment with different objects to learn about the properties of different materials.
Ways to Save Resources - Students can explore a number of ways to save our earth's resources.
How Plants Grow - Students can experiment using heat and water to make a plant grow to a healthy size.
