5th Grade Band & Orchestra

Jeffco Public Schools is proud to offer Band and Orchestra instruction as part of the 5th grade curriculum, district-wide. The class is tuition-free and occurs during the school day at your student’s elementary. All fifth graders are invited to participate! 

These 40-minute long music classes occur twice a week during school hours. This class is a “Go To Resource” where students are pulled out of homeroom for Band/Orchestra (like having an extra AMP rotation!)  Students bring their instrument to school twice each week for Band or Orchestra class, and are required to take their instrument home and practice on their own at home: about 30 minutes per week. We celebrate our achievements throughout the year by performing in assemblies, awards ceremonies, and large-group concerts at Bell Middle School!
