Student Performance Levels

4: Exceeding standard (Advanced*)

  • Student consistently demonstrates an exceptional level of understanding by incorporating and transferring advanced skills and complex thinking into the District Curriculum Alignment Project (CAP)

  • Student is independent and self directed in extending the learning process

  • Student consistently meets and usually exceeds assignment requirements

  • OR student is consistently performing above the District Curriculum Alignment Project (CAP) expectations

3: Meeting standard (Proficient*)

  • Student successfully achieves the District Curriculum Alignment Project (CAP) and supporting concepts

  • Student regularly applies thinking skills and learning strategies

  • Student consistently meets assignment requirements

2: Making progress toward standard (Partially Proficient*)

  • Student is performing near the District Curriculum Alignment Project (CAP) expectations

  • Student is showing progress in applying thinking skills and learning strategies

  • Student shows partial grasp of central concepts

  • OR student inconsistently meets assignment requirements

1: Lacking adequate progress (Unsatisfactory*)

  • Student is performing significantly below the District Curriculum Alignment Project (CAP) expectations

  • Student is showing limited progress in applying thinking skills and learning strategies

  • Student does not meet assignment requirements

  • OR student shows little interest or effort, which limits progress
