Student Performance Levels
4: Exceeding standard (Advanced*)
Student consistently demonstrates an exceptional level of understanding by incorporating and transferring advanced skills and complex thinking into the District Curriculum Alignment Project (CAP)
Student is independent and self directed in extending the learning process
Student consistently meets and usually exceeds assignment requirements
OR student is consistently performing above the District Curriculum Alignment Project (CAP) expectations
3: Meeting standard (Proficient*)
Student successfully achieves the District Curriculum Alignment Project (CAP) and supporting concepts
Student regularly applies thinking skills and learning strategies
Student consistently meets assignment requirements
2: Making progress toward standard (Partially Proficient*)
Student is performing near the District Curriculum Alignment Project (CAP) expectations
Student is showing progress in applying thinking skills and learning strategies
Student shows partial grasp of central concepts
OR student inconsistently meets assignment requirements
1: Lacking adequate progress (Unsatisfactory*)
Student is performing significantly below the District Curriculum Alignment Project (CAP) expectations
Student is showing limited progress in applying thinking skills and learning strategies
Student does not meet assignment requirements
OR student shows little interest or effort, which limits progress
