Ms. Bennett

Hi! Welcome to Kindergarten. My name is Emily Bennett, and I am thrilled to welcome you to the kindergarten family.

I am originally from Maine and started my teaching career on the east coast. This is my fourth year living in Colorado. I attended the University of Maine at Farmington to earn my degree in Elementary Education, specializing in Language Arts and a minor in Special Education. I love to teach little learners how to read! This past year I completed my masters degree in Literacy Education. I have been teaching first and second grade for 10 years and now I am excited to teach my first year as a kindergarten teacher at Kyffin!

I enjoy spending my free time hiking, skiing, adventuring outside, traveling, laughing with loved ones, and trying new coffee shops/restaurants. 

My goal is to have a classroom community that is engaging, fun, active, supportive, rewarding, and filled with growth. Guardian involvement is key to success in kindergarten! It takes a team to enhance each student to reach their full potential. I look forward to supporting you along in our kindergarten journey. It's a joy to be here along the way as your child discovers the excitement of learning. I can’t wait to see what this school year has in store!
