I have been teaching at the Jamestown School for over twenty years. I started in second grade and taught for five years including three years in a co-teaching model. I then moved to kindergarten twenty years ago and love teaching the little ones! I was a member of the SELAC committee for fifteen plus years and joined the Melrose SIT committee over ten years ago. In the past, I have been a mentor to new teachers here at Melrose School as well as students from RIC, enrolled in their education department who are completing their practicum course. I continue to be involved in curriculum planning as well as other activities and groups here at Jamestown School to support all students.
On a personal note, I live in Newport with my husband and have two grown children, three stepchildren, and six grandchildren. I love to read, watch movies, tend to my garden, and be involved in my children's lives and activities. I love teaching and want to learn as much as I can about my students and their families and how I can better teach them as individuals.
