ISIR Upload Delay Impacting
FAFSA Completion Project Data and FAMOUS
The Missouri Department of Higher Education & Workforce Development (MDHEWD) is experiencing issues uploading Institutional Student Information Records (ISIR) for students who have completed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2024-2025 academic year.
MDHEWD experienced technical difficulties connecting to the new global portal to receive 2024-2025 ISIR data. Due to the delay, MDHEWD is testing the changes to the ISIR layout, which were caused by the updates to the FAFSA.
This delay will impact data for the FAFSA Completion Project and FAMOUS, especially for Access Missouri eligibility. MDHEWD is working with IT to resolve this issue and will send a notification regarding when that data will be available.
Please understand that due to the backlog of ISIRs this has created, it will take MDHEWD several days to catch up once we begin loading the data.
Please note: Although estimated 2024-2025 Access Missouri award amounts will not be available for individual students until after the data is loaded, institutions can access the estimated award amounts in FAMOUS through the Award Table report.
The impact of FAFSA changes and the switch from Expected Family Contribution (EFC) to Student Aid Index (SAI) on Access Missouri is unknown at this time. The 2024-2025 Access Missouri awards are initially set at the statutory maximum at an SAI cutoff of $12,000; SAI will equal EFC for the 2024-2025 award year, and the two terms will be used interchangeably. The Award Table report provides the award amount specific to each EFC/SAI range.

1. Attend a designated A+ School for three (3) consecutive years prior to high school graduation.
Students must attend Jamestown C-1 High School or transfer to Jamestown C-1 from another A+ designated school district their entire Sophomore, Junior and Senior years.
2. Graduate from high school with a grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
3. Have at least a 95% attendance record for the 4 year period.
The attendance information given to the A+ Schools Coordinator will come from the official attendance record kept by the Jamestown C-1 School District.
A cumulative attendance record will be kept from the beginning of the A+ student's freshman year until graduation.
At the end of each semester the cumulative attendance records will be sent to the A+ School's Coordinator.
Each grading period, the attendance record information is reported on the grade card. Parents wanting to know cumulative attendance information is encouraged to and may request it anytime from the A+ Coordinator.
After receiving this information, the parent/guardian will have 30 days to file an appeal with the A+ Coordinator. If an appeal is not filed within 30 days of notification, the waiver for those days missed will not be considered.
Students with specific health histories must make sure the medical documentation of chronic or long-term health-related problems are on file with the school nurse and such health-related problems shall be considered in a possible review situation.
Those submitting a request for an A+ waiver of days missed shall provide the A+ School's Coordinator with official documentation.
Attendance for the A+ Program is calculated by being present or absent from school. (This is different from Jamestown C-1 School's attendance policy of allowing 10 days of excused absences per semester.)
4. Perform and document fifty (50) hours of unpaid tutoring or mentoring to younger students during their high school years.
All tutoring activities will be designed to involve the A+ applicant with students in the A+ district.
Tutoring activities will provide, as an ultimate goal, encouragement to other students go get more deeply interested in school, stay in school, and strive for good grades.
Tutoring activities will be school-based, academic in nature, and at the Jamestown C-1 School (not private or public sector programs in which the school has no input into the activity.)
The tutoring and mentoring must be supervised and verified by a teacher, coach, principal, superintendent or A+ Coordinator.

The required fifty hours of tutoring must be completed prior to graduation to be considered for A+ status.
5. Maintain a record of good citizenship and avoidance of the unlawful use of drugs and alcohol.
In an effort to set forth the parameters of good citizenship, Jamestown C-1 High School A+ Program participants should understand the following guidelines to be followed in establishing good standing:
Activities within the school setting are an important part of determining good citizenship. Students are expected to demonstrate patterns of good behavior that include, but are not limited to, cooperation, respect for oneself and others, responsibility, and leadership. Poor school citizenship resulting in an out-of-school suspension (OSS) will result in the following action:
OSS (excluding tardies) 1st Offense A+ Financial Incentive Program Eligible
OSS (Drugs/Alcohol/Safe School Violation 1st Offense Not Eligible for A+ Financial Incentive
OSS 2nd Offense Not Eligible for A+ Financial Incentive
Expulsion 1st Offense Not Eligible for A+ Financial Incentive
Good citizenship outside of the school setting is of equal importance. Therefore, any actions for which legal information available to the school district will be used in evaluating the citizenship of the applicant as follows:
Misdemeanor 1st Offense Not Eligible for A+ Financial Incentive
Felony 1st Offense Not Eligible for A+ Financial Incentive
6. Make a good faith effort to secure federal post-secondary financial assistance funds.
During the applicant's senior year, he/she will be required to complete an application for securing federal post-secondary financial assistance (FAFSA). The student must file the FAFSA form by April 1 to be considered as a good faith effort to secure federal post-secondary student financial assistance funds. Reimbursement from the state will be given only after securing federal funds that do not require repayment have been applied. The student must be a United States citizen or eligible non-citizen in order to use funds generated by the filing of the FAFSA form. The institution to which the student applies for post-secondary training will make the final determination of student qualification.
7. All males must register for the Selective Service by the age of 18.
8. All students must have achieved a score of Proficient or Advanced on the Algebra I End of Course Exam (EOC). If you meet all of the eligibility requirements except the EOC requirement, you may establish eligibility by achieving a combined ACT Math sub-score and high school GPA in accordance with the following scale:
ACT Math Score of 17 with a 2.5 GPA
ACT Math Score of 16 with a 2.8 GPA
ACT Math Score of 15 with a 3.0 GPA
You may also establish eligibility by achieving a combined Pre-ACT Math sub-score and high school GPA in accordance with the following scale:
Pre-ACT Math Score of 17 with a 2.5 GPA
Pre-ACT Math Score of 16 with a 2.8 GPA
Pre-ACT Math Score of 15 with a 3.0 GPA
Students and Parents/Guardians are notified of current student A+ status each grading report period. Students and Parents/Guardians are advised and encouraged to contact the A+ Coordinator at any time for questions or concerns of student A+ status.
