After a KJS meeting on September 29, 2015 we came up with these guidelines:
- Only G3 and G4 students can check out laptops
- Students should always sit at a table with a laptop
- G3 and G4 students need to sign out the computer - write their name and grade, laptop number and purpose
- Laptops should not be used on library or rainy day recess.
- All G3 and G4 students and their parents need to sign and return the Responsible use of Technology Agreement to their Home room teacher.
- (Sean’s website is recommended for students and parents to look at and discuss together also - but not obligatory)
- Youtube is regarded as a valuable tool - with wonderful learning opportunities - and also lots of opportunities to waste time. Students are strongly encouraged to be wise in their choice of videos - exercise ‘wise freedom’.
