Enabled on all library/lab and student laptops purchased through school. It is enforced on all three browsers installed on those computers - Chrome, Safari, Firefox.
Youtube Restricted Mode, is it on?
The answer is both yes and no depending on a used method to enforce it.
There are three ways to do it:
a. Switch it on on master image and deploy it to all KJS laptops. Using this method we don't have to enable restricted mode individually. But, unfortunately, it is a little late to do it this year because I already finished re-imaging KJS machines last week. I'll update KJS master image for the next summer with the restricted mode if it is required.
b. Manual method. In this case, we have to enable it on all three browsers on each computer individually. KJS library has 25 machines. So, enabling it manually is a bit tedious but doable task.
c. DNS* based method. This a backend network based solution. It will apply to every computer on the domain - teachers, guests etc. Therefore, some people might not like it.
