This year’s theme is centered around Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s "Give Us the Ballot and We Will Transform the South." In his speech, Dr. King speaks to the importance of political power and the right to vote. He states that the right to vote is a sacred right. A right that should be defended and aggressively upheld.

Congdon Cougar Chase Fun Run:

This year we will again be partnering with Boosterthon for our Cougar Chase Fun Run! It will be the same format as last year, with the kickoff scheduled for March 8th, and fundraising set for the following 2 weeks. Based off of the fantastic teacher support, fundraising dollars that came in, and all the fun we had - we think the Fun Run will be even easier to execute this year. We are really excited to get things started again! Look for more information to come in the following weeks.

As we did last year we have earmarked to use the funds raised for STEAM purposes. WE NEED YOUR HELP! We are looking for ideas from YOU (the teachers and staff at Congdon) as to what STEAM specific items you would like the Foundation to purchase with these funds. We will use these ideas in our marketing, social media posts, etc so parents, grandparents, sponsors, etc understand why we are trying to raise money..we want to give them more specific information about what we use the funds for hoping this will give more people the reason to give :)

Please send your ideas to congdonparkfoundation@gmail.com no later than Friday February 3rd.

Thank you!
