ELITE BASEBALL ACADEMY:
2014 CAMP:
For the 4th year in a row, the Otter Tail Central Baseball program will be hosting the Elite Baseball Academy. Led by Darin Everson, 17 years in Professional Baseball, including the current hitting coach of the Colorado Rockies Double AA team. He will be assisted by various college and professional coaches, as well as members of the OTC Baseball Coaching Staff. The Elite Baseball Academy is in its 12th year of teaching the baseball skills throughout Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin.
The Elite Baseball Academy is putting on a Catcher & Infield Advanced Skills Camp (10:00-12:30) and “Energy Transfer” Advanced Hitting Mini-Camp (2:00-5:00) in Underwood, MN on the first or second Saturday in February.
Camper to instructor ratio on the average is 5:1 or better. This is a great opportunity for you to work on your baseball skills, get yourself noticed by a college coach and see how you stack up to area baseball players.
The camps are open to all 5-12 graders. Cost for one camp is $65.00 per camper or $120.00 for both camps. Video Analysis is also available.
Each camper will receive a T-shirt and informational packets covering the concepts and skills taught. Campers will also have their fielding and hitting skills critiqued by a qualified instructor. Door prizes are also given away at the end of the camp.
The 2012 Elite Camp was another successful one. There were 20 campers at the Catcher and Infield camp while we had 22 campers turn out for the Energy Transfer Hitting Camp. Northern Diamonds Academy will be held in the fall of 2014. The League takes place on August 30th, September 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th at Knute Nelson Ballpark in Alexandria, MN.
