Mrs. Naumann
Welcome to 8th grade Earth Science!!! This class is designed to develop an understanding of planet Earth, its processes, and outer space. The four main areas of focus include geology, meteorology, hydrology and astronomy. This course uses several labs to visualize the concepts discussed in class. Problem solving, data analysis and mathematical skills will also be used and improved throughout the year. A little information about me...
This is my 12th year in the Princeton School District and I’m excited to be back teaching another great group of students!
I grew up in Eagan, MN where I lived with my parents and older brother. I’ve always known that I wanted to be a teacher so I attended St. Cloud State University because of their teaching program. I graduated from SCSU with a bachelor’s in Earth and Space Science Education, a minor in Geology and a minor in Multicultural Education. I obtained a Masters in Teaching and Learning from St. Mary's University in 2016. I married my husband in May of 2018 and had our first child in December of 2019 :)
When I’m not in the classroom teaching I love doing anything to do with science! I love rock collecting, fossil hunting and staying up late to look at the night sky! I enjoy hiking, fishing, watching movies and camping. I am also a middle school volleyball coach, and one of the WEB Coordinators.
As I mentioned, this is my 12th year teaching at Princeton Middle School and I couldn’t be more thrilled! I can’t wait to jump into everything but I want you to know that if you ever have any questions, it doesn’t have to be school-related, I would love to help you. My door is always open!
