Every student can achieve. It's our goal for every student to read well by third grade, and our leadership seeks out and selects staff members who share in that belief.
The strength of the P-E-M literacy program lies in our multi-faceted approach, our community support and our highly-qualified staff.
We are implementing a variety of research-based instruction methods throughout our elementary grades to differentiate our instruction in an effort to meet the needs of each individual learner. Teachers meet in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to analyze data and share best practices.
Universal assessments help us recognize when a student is struggling so we can provide necessary and specific interventions, including support from our Title and ESL programs.
We promote the use of innovative practices to connect with all learners and learning styles in a 21st century classroom, including the integration of educational technology.
We interact with our students' parents and the community frequently to inform and improve our practice.
