Open System Settings.
Select General from the left hand side, if it is not already selected.
From the right hand side, choose AirDrop & Handoff.
Next to AirPlay Receiver, slide the toggle to the right so it's blue.
In the dropdown next to Allow AirPlay for, choose Anyone on the Same Network.
If prompted, use your Touch ID or type in your password.
At the dialogue window, confirm he choice, Allow Anyone on the Same Network.
You will now see your computer name show up as an option when choosing the screen mirror option from your iPad.
Tips:
If you don't see you computer as an option on the iPad, you may need to toggle Bluetooth off then back on, from both the Macbook and iPad.
If you still don't see it as an option, restart both devices.
