This is a database for suggested texts based on text complexity and the Common Core standards. It is organized by grade level. The grade level lists books and articles. The books give bibliographic information, but the articles give the actual text.

International Children's Digital Library - Supports literacy by making the best in children's literature available online free of charge by building a digital library of books from around the world.

Excelsior Writing Lab - Provides Multimedia support for writers; everything from the writing process to creating citations. This site includes topic specific interactive games, quizzes, tutorial, videos and more!

FAKEBOOK - Use this site to create fictional Facebook profiles for fictional characters, projects, etc.

MYON PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT -Use this sight for teaching resources, lesson plans, etc.

Newsela - This site is useful for all content areas. It contains news articles that can be searched by topic. The great thing about it is you can adjust the lexile level for the same article for the purposes of differentiation; the site will automatically adjust the article according to the lexile level you choose. Each article give the anchor number of the standard it is addressing; some articles include quizzes. which are aligned to Common Core standards. Register by creating your own username and password for free!
