2018 ORYZA Online Essentials: an IRC Side Event

15-16 October 2018 @ Orchid Rm 4301A, Sands Expo and Convention Center, Singapore

The 5th International  Rice Congress will host a short training course on "Modeling the impact of climate change on rice production with the web-based application of ORYZA model". The ORYZA Online Essentials will constitute three (3) 90-minute sessions, in the afternoon of October 15 & 16. Each session includes a lecture on ORYZA Online 2.0 web-based application and a demonstration of its application in modeling the impact of climate change. 

The objectives of the short course are: to introduce the ORYZA rice crop model online web-based application, ORYZA Online 2.0; and to provide a general knowledge on crop modeling and its usefulness to rice sector development from research-to-policy making perspective in addressing questions of climate change. The course will be composed of an interactive show-and-tell and hands on use of the application, in which you are expected to bring your own laptop.
