Unit 3: My Mask, Myself

My Mask, Myself examines what it means for characters and people to symbolically wear a mask. Students will investigate the reasons why someone would choose to “mask” his or her identity or intentions and discuss the benefits and drawbacks of masking one’s true self. Students will carefully analyze how masks can protect, hide, and even transform the wearer’s identity of self.
