Painting 1

This semester course is designed to give students an opportunity to gain an advanced understanding in color theory, color mixing, painting techniques/processes, knowledge of tools and materials, and general vocabulary. Students will be working with transparent and opaque paint. There will be demonstration and practice involved with each new unit of study. We will study the lives/work of contemporary artists, as well as those from historical eras.
