Drawing 1

This foundation course builds skills in observational drawing, pencil shading, proportion, techniques, and design. Throughout the semester we work with a variety of media, including: pencil, charcoal, pen & ink, and colored pencil. Specific drawing problems are introduced, giving students the opportunity for individual and creative solutions. Weekly sketchbook assignments are part of each student's grade (worth 10 points weekly, and due each Thursday). Please see the syllabus and sketchbook assignment sheet for more information.
