Commissioned in the year 1972, The Cross Harbour Tunnel is the first under water vehicular harbour crossing linking Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. The Tunnel links the main financial and commercial districts on both sides of Victoria Harbour and is the busiest harbour crossing since it has been opened for traffic.

The Tunnel is currently managed by Chun Wo Tunnel Management Company Limited. Notwithstanding in managing and maintaining an uninterrupted operations of this most congested vehicular thoroughfare in Hong Kong, the Management Company endeavours to ensure that Health and Safety, Security and Environmental policies are observed and complied with at all times.
