Archive: Field Excursions 2010-2015

A field lecture on Mughal architecture was organized for students of Semester VI by faculty from the Department. The students had a guided tour of the Humayun's tomb complex accompanied by Dr. Meenakshi Khanna from the Department in February 2015.

History Honours. Part III went on a guided walk around Kashmeri Gate on 27 October, 2013 and visited places and monuments associated with the Revolt of 1857 in Delhi. The walk was conducted by Ms. Kanika Singh our student from 2001-2004 batch.

A large number of students from all three years of History Honours accompanied by faculty from the Department went on an excursion to Agra & Fatehpur Sikri, 2-4 March 2013.

Ms. Surekha Narain, a well known heritage consultant, conducted a walk around the Mutiny monuments on the ridge in January, 2011.

An excursion to the Temples of Khajuraho and Panna National Park was organized by the History Society in March 2011.

A Heritage Walk to Hauz Khas monuments with Ms. Kanika Singh our alumna trained with the INTACH, 20 March 2010.

Two day excursion to Agra, Fatehpur Sikri & Sikandra was organized for the B.A. Part III students in March 2010.
