Welcome Scientists!

Here you will find important information regarding classroom policies and helpful links for science. 

Grading Scale:

50% Assessments (Tests/Quizzes)

30% Assignments (Classwork/Homework)

20% Projects (Labs/Presentations)

Tests/Quizzes grade will consist of all Tests and Quizzes.  They are a representation of a students knowledge of a subject without any textbook, peer or teacher support.

Classwork/Homework grades will consist of everything related to effort: classroom activities, daily bell work, response questions, and so forth. For any and all assignments in this category students have the opportunity to receive my help one on one in class or also get support from their textbook or notebook, and often it will be graded for completion not accuracy.

Projects / Labs

When a lab is completed a timeline of the lab report will be discussed ad nauseam. Every kid will know when the lab is due, there is no hard and fast rule that can be used because they will vary in complexity. In addition , the lab work often in done in groups and students will have many opportunities to modify , update , and improve their work.
