Nandini Ramesh Sankar works primarily in the area of 20th-century and contemporary British and American poetry and poetics.

She is also interested in Modernist fiction; literature and the other arts (including Modernist art, ekphrasis, still-life painting, and graphic novels); and literature and philosophy.
