Current Research

Nandini is exploring the possibility that the gift economy as described by anthropologists and philosophers is closest to the complex and unequal modes of exchange that define difficult poetry. She's working on a series of essays on the topic with a special emphasis on Gertrude Stein and Cambridge Poetry.

She has also been working on the Indian graphic novel and the interface between literature and art in general; gothic fiction is also an occasional area of interest.

She is currently accepting PhD students who plan to work on poetry.
