India Heritage Foundation’s Sunday GURUKUL School is formed with a idea of benefiting kids in the following way :
Inculcate positive values
Develop good character and attitude
Understand important moral principles of life.
Broaden their horizon through activities of coloring, painting, crafts, story telling and drama.
It is said in the vedic texts that right from the very young age, children have to be raised and trained in various important aspects of practical knowledge.
We have ways and means to make the content fun and interesting to the kids and the kids will want to keep coming every time. Our teachers have very high qualification necessary for understanding and teaching these spiritual topics. The idea is to inculcate the rich spiritual heritage of India (with messages from Indian vedic texts) into the children so that they can have fun at the same time learn the most important spiritual knowledge to enable them lead a meaningful life.
We have several classes in our school. Kids from 3-5 years, 6-8 years, 9 -11 years and 12-15 years. Our course content is specially designed and acclaimed in noted International schools of India. For more information, please contact us.
Your concern as a parent
How do I give the best to my child?
How do I protect my child from bad influences?
What can help me facilitate all round growth of my child so he blossoms into a balanced individual?
How can I help my child appreciate and imbibe India’s ancient Vedic values and culture?
How can I find time for my child out of my busy schedule?
If any of these are your concerns, then India Heritage Foundation’s Sunday School is meant just for you and your child. The purpose of Sunday school is to enhance the good consciousness and spiritual development of the children who regularly attend the Sunday Feast program.
Quotation from Srila Prabhupada: “Yes, the proof of your teaching method shall be seen in the spiritual improvement and fresh enthusiasm exhibited by the children.” (Letter to Stoka Krishna, 6/13/72)
The Sunday school development department organizes the Sunday school. Apart from students the Sunday school engages the congregation by bringing parents to the center on a regular basis. It gives a start to the next generation and helps the parents enjoy the Sunday lecture. The Sunday school program is divided into age groups according to the number of children and the facilities available. If only two groups are necessary, the division should be below and above 8 year old. In large Sunday school program, the divisions may be as follows:
- Gopal Class for 3 to5 year old
- Madhava Class for 6 to 8 year old
- Damodara Class for 9 to 11year old
- Madan Mohan Class for 12 to14 year old
No matter what divisions are done the leader uses the appropriate material according to the age and level of maturity of the individual students.
