Notes and Announcements

Our code for Scholastic Book Club is QKFZN. 

If your child is going to be absent, please call the absentee line at 215-482-8503.  If your child is absent for three or more days, he/she will need a doctor's note upon his/her return to school.

Test Dates and Project Due Dates

Students will need to read a book each trimester and complete a book report.  I will assign a due date later in the trimester. If students read 20 minutes per night they shouldn't have any issues completing the assignment.  To help students with reading comprehension and make working on their book reports easier, students will answer questions in their reading journals

Test and project due dates are also posted in class.  For each subject, students will have at least five grades.  Students' grades will be a mix of tests, quizzes, performance assessments, projects, homework, and classwork.  I try to give at least a week's notice for tests.  For Simple Solutions quizzes, students will know at least two days notice.

Permission slips for Market Day went home on March 9th, they are due Friday, March 13th

We will have Market Day on Monday, April 20th

Monday, March 30th - Science test chapter 4

Wednesday, April 1st - Religion test - Penance and Reconciliation chapters 15 & 16

 Weekly Homework

To help everyone plan for the week, I will post homework on a weekly basis.  If adjustments need to be made during the week it will be noted.  At the end of the day, while students are waiting to be dismissed, they are permitted to work on their homework.  Because of this, students may not be bringing anything home for homework.  However, students should be reading at least 20 minutes per night.  Students are permitted to "work ahead" with the exception of Voyages, (I like to go over the lesson first).
