Computer Account Setup

Make sure to login to the ICS Portal and PowerSchool using your Parent Account, not the student account. The student account does not have the relevant permissions.

• example: mik21022@school.ics.edu.hk

  • first three characters of surname

  • 5 digit identifier

The following three accounts are required to be set up on the computer:

1. Parent

2. Student

3. School Admin

Parent Account

This account is for you to administer, install, and maintain the required software.

• Account Type: Admin

• Full Name: Parent Admin

• Account Name: parentadmin 

• Password: <set your own password>

  • the default password if the account is already made is: parent

Student Account

This account is for the student to log in with

• Account Type: Managed

• Full Name: (Last, First)

• Account Name: Student ID

• Password: <set student password>

  • the default password if the account is already made is: password

School Admin Account

This account is for IT to help support your child at school

• Account Type: Admin

• Full Name: School Admin

• Account Name: schooladmin

• Password: <Please navigate to the PS Page find on the left-side navigation panel of your students profile to find the auto-generated password unique for your student>

Change the login password on Mac
