The guidelines are created to help students download and install some essential software.
The "Computer Account Setup" guideline is primarily aimed for setting up laptops owned by Middle School students as the students are not expected to have administrative access on their laptops. High school parents can also follow the same guideline if they are not yet ready to grant full administrative to their children.
For Middle School students, the following software should be installed on their laptops:
Google Chrome - Web Brower
Splashtop SOS - Remote Support
Microsoft Office - Office Tools
NWEA Lockdown Browser - Testing Software
Respondus Lockdown Browser - Testing Software
Sophos Anti-virus - Anti-virus
Mobility Print - Access to School Printers
As the Middle School student isn't expected to have the admin right on his computer, it requires the parents to use their administrative accounts for software installation. The parents could follow the Guidelines to set up the accounts for the student's computer.
For High School students, the following software should be installed on their laptops:
Splashtop SOS - Remote Support
Google Chrome - Web Browser
Microsoft Office - Office Tools
Sophos Anti-virus - Anti-Virus
Mobility Print - Access to School Printers
Respondus Lockdown Browser - Testing Software
